Mrs. Frances Meilichar Spacek Mrs. Frances Meilichar Spacekpassed from this life Tuesday, September 29, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Svoboda, north of Green Her earthly career was begun in Prague, Bohemia, January 27, 1844, and extended over a period of 81 years and eight months. She was born of the Catholic faith of the mother church of Austria. She grew to womanhood in her native land and was united in marriage with Mr. Anton Spacek in Prague, Bohemia, in the year of 1867. To this union were born seven children, four of whom with the father preceded Mrs. Spacek to the Great Beyond. These children with the exception of Charles, died in Bohemia. His death occured at the home north of Green. Mrs. Spacek, with her family, came to Chicago from Austria in March 1901, where she lived until 1916, when she came to the home of her daughter, north of Green. There she spent her remaining days, and during her last days was tenderly ministered to by her children. Those who survive her are two daughters, Mrs. Wm. Svoboda and Mrs. George Lippert, who live near Green, and one son, James Spacek of Chicago, seventeen grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. In addition to her relatives Mrs. Spacek leaves to mourn her going a large number of friends. Her willingness to help everyone even when it cost her a sacrifice, will never be forgotten. Now that this good mother's work is done, those who knew her best and loved her most can look back on a life well spent, and though her lips are silent her kindly deeds will always be remembered. Funeral services were held at the Svoboda home Thursday afternoon, October 1, at 2 o'clock., being conducted by Rev. Curtis Keck, pastor of the Green M.E. church and burial was made in the Goshen cemetery. The male quartet led by Jacob Heer furnished appropiate music for the service.
