Frances Swoboda Mateja of Lakeworth, Fla. died Oct. 2, 1980, at the age of 80. She was born at Green, Feb. 4, 1900, the daughter of William and Barbara Swoboda.

The survivors are a granddaughter, Debra and husband John Parry; three great granddaughers; two sisters, Bertha Newell and Ella Clark of Clay Center.

Her two sons, Richard and Laddy, died during World War II.

Services were held at the Earl Smith Funeral Home in Lakeworth on Sunday, Oct. 5 with burial at the Pinecrest Cemetery in Lakeworth.
