Lloyal & Bertha Newell The marriage of Miss Bertha E. Swoboda of Green and Mr. Lloyal A. Newell of Clay Center occurred in Topeka, Wednesday, January 30th. It was a quiet and simple ceremony, the young people being unaccompied. The bride wore a pretty wedding gown of rose beige georgette with hat and coat to harmonize. Mr. & Mrs. Newell are spending few days in Kansas City and after February 15 will be at home at 307 Dexter street, Clay Center. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. William Swoboda and has remained at home with her mother, after spending some time in Chicago and Colorado. Her friendly smile and pleasing personality have made her friends wherever she goes and she is capable of making a happy home. Mr. Newell is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Newell of Clifton and for the past five years has been head mechanic for W.W. Smith & Sons. Mr. and Mrs. Newell have the best wishes of all their friends for every happiness.
