Rigel-Alford Wedding Picture VIctorville Army Air Field, Victorville, Calif.--Lieut. John A. Alford. of Springfield, Mass., claimed as his bride Miss Marilyn Rigel, of Riley, Kansas, during the quiet afternoon hours of May 2 at the North Chapel of Victorville Army Air Field.

Officiating at the ceremony was Army Chaplain Owen L. Mullet. During the exchange of marriage vows Army organist, Sgt. Lester Hoisington, played "I Love You Truly."

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Rigel, Box 36, Route 2, Riley, Kansas, was dressed in white marquiette edged with lace. She wore a corsage of gardenias and lillies of the vally. Her attendent at the ceremony was Miss Lydia Jean Rigel, who was gowned in a powder blue net dress.

The groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Alford, 161 Albemarie St., Springfield, Mass., was a school teacher before he entered the service. He ws commissioned in August of 1943. During the ceremony two of his fellow pilot friends participated as his attendents. They were Lieuts. John R. Powell and John T. Alley Jr.

After a very brief wedding trip to Los Angeles and vicinity, the couple will return to Victorville to reside while the lieutenant is stationed at the Victorville desert base of the AAF Training Command.
