Charles M. Nugent, 79, Blue Rapids, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 1991, at Community Memorial Hospital.

A graveside service and burial were at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, at Prospect Hill Cemetery north of Blue Rapids, the Rev. Steve Rumphol officiating.

Terry Chapel; and Funeral Home of Blue Rapids was in charge.

He was born Oct. 24, 1911, at Louisville, Ky., the sone of Charlie W. and Hattie Gaddis Nugent.

He married Irma Rigel June 3, 1943, at Blue Rapids.

He was an Army veteran of World War II. For 27 years he was employed by Georgia-Pacific Corporation at the Blue Rapids plant, where he worked in the mine and retired after several years as a ngiht watchman.

Preceding him in death were his parents and two sisters

Survivors are his wife, Irma of the house; two sons, Allen and Larry Nugent, both of Blue Rapids; a daughter, Kay Nugent, Marysville; and a grandson.
