Mary Frances Kopecek Rigel, 88, of Route 2, Cedar Rapids, died Sunday in her home following a short illness. Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Brosh Chapel. Burial; Czech National Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to services time Wednesday.

Survivors include a daughter, Libbie O'Brine of Tucson, Ariz.; two sons, Leonard and Ernest , both of Cedar Rapids; a sister , Vicki Polehna of Cedar Rapids; and a brother, Charles Kopecek of Cedar Rapids.

Also surviving are seven grandchildren and three great grand-children.

Born July 31, 1902, in Budiskovice, Chzechoslovakia, she came to the United States in 1920. She married Oldrich Rigel April 7, 1937, in Cedar Rapids. He died in 1972. The couple farmed in Linn County. She was a member of Ely Rebekah Lodge, College Circle Club and CSA.

The Rev. Dr. Gordon Freeburg will officiate. A memorial fund has been established.
